What you should know before you sign up.

No card to start

The 10-day trial never asks for payment details. To continue past day 10 you choose Basic or Premium and add a card then - never sooner, never automatically.

Encrypted and isolated

Bank details encrypted at rest with Fernet/AES, masked on read. Row-level tenant isolation by org_id. TLS 1.3 in transit.

Your data, yours

Export everything via CSV / XLSX (Basic+) or via the API (Premium). Delete your account and the data goes with it within 30 days.

No auto-conversion

At day 10 the workspace pauses - it does not silently roll into a paid plan. Paid plans cancel from the Stripe Billing Portal in two clicks.

Common questions

Before you sign up.

Do I need a credit card to register?
No - the Free tier never asks for payment details. You add a card only when you decide to upgrade to Basic or Premium, and that's a decision you make actively, not something that happens automatically. Free is genuinely free, indefinitely, within the documented limits (50 documents / 10 suppliers / 1 site / month).
What happens when I hit the Free tier limits?
If you hit 50 documents in a month, document processing pauses for the rest of that calendar month and resumes on the 1st. Existing data stays visible and queryable. The same applies to suppliers - adding the 11th prompts an upgrade choice. Nothing gets deleted, nothing gets billed, you just hit a polite ceiling.
Can I import my existing supplier list?
Yes - CSV import is on every plan including Free. Free caps the result at 10 suppliers (we import the first 10 and leave the rest staged), Basic and Premium take the full file. The importer handles deduplication by company number or email, so re-running it doesn't create duplicates.
How long does it take to upgrade?
About a minute. The Stripe Checkout flow takes a card, applies the new plan immediately and the supplier verification, multi-site, full analytics and other Basic features unlock on the next page load.
Will my data move from Free to Basic?
Yes - the same account, same data, same suppliers, same processed documents. Upgrading just lifts the limits and unlocks gated features. There's no migration step, no data export/import.
Where does my data live and how is it secured?
UK-hosted on AWS (eu-west-2) with encryption at rest at the database level and TLS 1.3 in transit. Bank details are double-protected - encrypted with Fernet/AES on top of the RDS encryption and masked in API responses. Row-level tenant isolation by org_id.
Is the AI processing my invoices on Anthropic's servers?
LEDGE runs on Anthropic Claude under a no-training, no-retention agreement on the API tier we use. Your queries and the data they reference aren't used to train the model and aren't retained beyond the immediate request. Document extraction runs on a separate processing pipeline.
