How is Insights Agent different from LEDGE?
LEDGE is conversational - you ask a question, it answers. Insights Agent is autonomous - it watches your data continuously and tells you when something matters. Different surfaces, different jobs. Most operators use both: LEDGE for exploring a hunch, Insights Agent for catching things they'd never have thought to ask about. They share data access and permission rules.
Are the alerts rule-based or model-based?
Phase 1 is rule-based - deterministic detectors with thresholds you can configure per organisation. This is deliberate: rules are explainable, auditable and don't hallucinate. From Phase 2, statistical models layer on top to detect patterns the rules don't catch (seasonality drift, behavioural anomalies). Phase 4 introduces an LLM interpretation layer to summarise multi-agent findings.
Can I configure which alerts fire?
Yes. The Invoice Agent has configurable settings where you can adjust thresholds (e.g. "flag a price drift over 10%, not the default 8%"), mute specific suppliers, or disable a detector entirely. Critical-severity fraud and duplicate detectors are always on for safety, but their thresholds remain configurable. Settings are per-org, with sensible defaults out of the box.
How does the agent know what's normal?
The Invoice Agent uses configurable lookback windows per check type - for example, duplicate detection looks back a configurable number of days (default 90). Thresholds for VAT tolerance, business hours and discount windows are all configurable per organisation via the agent settings.
What happens when I action or dismiss an alert?
Alerts can be actioned or dismissed. Both states are logged to the alert's audit trail with the user and timestamp. Dismissed alerts remain in the system for audit purposes. The deduplication system prevents the same alert from being re-raised within its time window (e.g. 168 hours for fraud, 24 hours for anomalies).
Are alerts visible to the whole org?
Alert visibility follows your existing role-based permissions. A site manager sees alerts about their site. A finance lead sees the org-wide feed. Critical-severity fraud alerts are surfaced to all admins regardless of their default scope. Alerts are visible in the Insights feed within OmniPATH, filtered by your role-based permissions.
